LOS ANGELES—It's always nice to get a perfect score, and that's something Stormy Daniels is enjoying right now. The Wicked Pictures director's Waiting on Love earned a top 5A rating as an AVN Editor's Choice. The review by Tod Hunter is live on the site now.
Daniels enthused, "My goal for this past year has been to really challenge myself as a filmmaker. It's really been encouraging to see this translate into a series of Editor's Choice reviews, first for When It Comes To You and more recently with Pretty Dangerous. I'm proud to share these accolades with the talented casts and crews I work with on all my shoots."
"This could be the couples movie of the year," AVN's review begins, describing the tone of Daniels' original story as, "light and romantic, [with] just enough angst to keep it interesting and none of that infidelity/betrayal stuff that kills a romantic vibe for a couple watching."
Much of the review praises the solid work of cast members Carter Cruise, Karlie Montana, Nikki Daniels, Chad White, Michael Vegas and Steven St. Croix, describing their erotic liaisons as "lustful and passionate." The review concludes, "Stormy Daniels continues to grow and mature as a screenwriter and director."
For those who are waiting for more from the AVN 2015 Director of the Year nominee, Daniels has some news. "As always, I want to thank all the fans, retailers and critics for their support. All I can say is, if you enjoyed these movies, you're going to love Impulse and Wanted!"
An erotic thriller written, directed and starring Ms. Daniels, Impulse is slated for a July 1 release. Wanted, an epic feature Western and the veteran director's long-in-development passion project, is scheduled to go before the cameras in June.
