Sticky Fingers BBQ Buys Sticky Fingers.com Adult Domain

Netizens looking for the Sticky Fingers barbecue chain are getting something even saucier can quit howling in outrage now.

Sticky Fingers the BBQ chain has bought the Web address StickyFingers.com the adult website for $6,000, after 10 years of trying to buy the domain and putting up with a few calls a day from customers finding porn rather than pork chops.

"Now," said Sticky Fingers the BBQ co-owner Jeff Goldstein, "we don't have to talk to angry customers calling, thinking we're perverts."

Sticky Fingers the BBQ could be reached by typing in either www.stickyfingersonline.com or www.stickyfingers.net. A British Sticky Fingers restaurant, unconnected to the BBQ chain and having no known problem with its name shared by any adult site, is owned by former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman, who named the restaurant after the band's 1971 album of the same name.

Another co-owner of the Sticky Fingers BBQ chain, Chad Walldorf, told reporters that since they took over the adult site address, site visits to the barbeque chain have "more than quadrupled" and online sales have doubled.

Walldorf also said the BBQ chain tried to offer porn surfers a break when they hit the old domain hoping for titillation—Sticky Fingers the restaurant offered a free pound of pork to porn surfers landing on the restaurant site. "There were no takers," he said.
