LOS ANGELES—Vivid Entertainment founder Steven Hirsch offers his take on the American dream to lifestyle magazine Leveled in its July issue, hitting coffee shops, boutiques and record stores in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York at the beginning of the month.
In a feature titled "The Home of the Brave," Hirsch says he defines the American dream as "the chance that no matter from where you start, you can be successful. All it takes is a good idea and a lot of hard work."
Asked to name one thing about life in this country that has had a significant impact on him, Hirsch said, "The fact that a guy from Cleveland can start with virtually nothing and have an amazing life." And as to whether he views this as the greatest country in the world, he stated, "There is no place like America. No place."
Other famous figures featured alongside Hirsch include Henry Rollins, Doug Stanhope, Kathy Griffin, Greg Fitzsimmons and Jack Abramoff. The piece will also be available at the magazine's website, www.leveledmag.com.
