CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Adult studios Revolution X and Digital Sin have wrapped principal photography on Star Trek: The Next Generation: A XXX Parody. The four-day shoot went to great lengths to create an authentic look that would please even the most devout Trekkies.
“I am proud to admit I am a hardcore Trekkie, who dreamed of making this movie for the longest time,” director Sam Hain said. “We embraced all the filming styles and visual effect methods from the original show to create an authentic look almost as impressive as the universally dreamed of sex scenes. Adding a cast of Star Trek fans further aided our parody, as each cast member’s love of the project translates across the screen.”

As with past New Sensations/Digital Sin parodies, the project has garnered the attention of mainstream actors who’ve been pleased to have their shows given the adult parody treatment.
Dana DeArmond was blown away by ST: TNG’s actor Wil Wheaton’s praise of her portrayal of Ensign Ro. DeArmond said, “When Wil Wheaton tweeted to me, the 12-year-old me just died. What a sweetie! I used to crush on Wesley Crusher so hard back in the day!” Unfortunately, due to parody’s placement as a stand-alone movie set in the sixth season, there is no XXX Wesley Crusher in order to keep with The Next Generation continuity.
Many cast members were required to show up hours before the start of filming due to the intricate makeup needed to capture each character perfectly. The prosthetics used to transform Lee Bang into Lt. Worf took over three hours to apply each day.
Discussing his own time-consuming makeup process, Xander Corvus says, “I was covered head to toe in full Data makeup, complete with those creepy contacts. It was the most intricate and impressive shoot I’ve ever done. It was definitely a challenge to play a robot. I felt a lot of pressure to play him perfectly since he’s a fan favorite, and his sex scene will probably have the highest expectation. Throughout the shoot I kept reminding myself, even robots need lovin’ too.”
April O’Neil may have been the most prolific Tweeter of the cast. Her enthusiasm for the movie and her role as Troi spilled over. O’Neil said, “It’s really an honor to be involved in a project of this scope, and Sam really kept our enthusiasm up with his total love of Star Trek. I couldn’t believe the detailed sets and costumes. And having sex in space? Oh yes, please! It’s like the eight-light-year-high club!”
Revolution X took the same care with its sets as it did casting, story, wardrobe and makeup. The bridge was re-created as a full, 360-degree set taking up nearly the entire studio. Intricate models of Star Fleet vessels were constructed for the movie. The Enterprise is modified slightly from the iconic ship known around the world due to copyright issues, but will still be recognizable to fans. After thorough research, director Hain and director of photography Eddie Powell shot the space sequences with the models in front of a green screen. The process precisely replicated the methods from the shows.
