WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.—Entertainment Seminars Inc. has announced the launch of Adult Business Seminar: Teaching You How to Make and Sell Porn. The new series is designed to provide educational, legal, technical, online and performance training to people interested in working in the adult entertainment industry.
Adult Business Seminar (ABS), which is open to anyone regardless of experience in the adult entertainment industry, offers multiple options that reflect a training program conducted over a three-day period.
The first ABS will be held Oct. 9-11, in Burbank, Calif., at a location to be announced. Organizers are currently offering a $500 “Early Bird” discount on “Gold” and “Platinum” packages only. To be eligible for the discount, registration must be completed by Sept. 9.
The Adult Business Seminar will be conducted by an experienced group of adult industry professionals that includes Bishop, Shy Love, Ben Kraus, Ron Jeremy and Nina Hartley.
“Even during today’s economic crisis the adult industry is still a strong $10 billion-a-year industry. Why stand on the sidelines as a fan when you can join in? If taught correctly, anyone with passion and a little training can be a lucrative porn producer,” said Shy Love, owner of Adult Talent Managers and an ABS instructor.
Over the three days, ABS instructors will lead students through an intense hands-on training schedule that addresses the creation of adult business concepts, developing production budgets, hiring talent, understanding performer testing protocols, building the best-fitting production strategy (camera placement, set designing, sound and lighting), getting through pre- and post-production, marketing the product, and monetizing content on multiple business verticals.
“The production mechanics being taught in this seminar,” Bishop said, “will provide immeasurable value to experienced and aspiring directors alike.”
“To provide our students a legitimate and realistic experience, it is our objective that our attendees will have the ability to immediately apply everything they have learned,” said legendary adult performer and entrepreneur Ron Jeremy. “This includes shooting their own live hardcore sex scene using today’s hottest adult superstars. Students will own the rights to whatever they shoot. The tape goes home with them.”
In addition to the above training, an attorney specializing in the adult industry will provide a thorough review of current legal issues surrounding industry trends. And that legal expert has agreed to offer continuous legal counseling for all ABS graduates after completion of the course.
