Hundreds of scantily clad porn stars joined the largest group of adult exhibitors ever assembled on Thursday at the Venetian Hotel’s Sands Expo Center for Day 1 of the seventh annual AVN Adult Entertainment Expo.
Seymore Butts and Seka opened the show with a ceremonial Ribbon Cutting at 11:10 a.m., officially kicking off what will be four days of new business deals, industry networking, promotional opportunities and random debauchery. Butts and Seka were accompanied Teagan Presley, Christie Lee, Nicki Hunter and Kelly Erickson as a mob of over 150 photographers and local news crews captured the moment.
That set the tone for a day filled with star sightings, fashion statements and interesting glimpses into the future of adult entertainment with over 320 exhibitors filling the show floor.
Zero Tolerance Entertainment, sharing its booth with Third Degree Films, made quite an impression on opening day, erecting 18-foot posters, possibly the tallest at the Expo, of some of the talent. Brittney Skye, Trinity, Jenaveve Jolie and Eva Angelina were among the girls prominently displayed in larger-than-life photographs.
"I love it this year," Trinity said. "I think this year is going to be amazing. There has just been so much hype."

Just after she made that remark, a civilian approached Trinity and said, "It’s been a pleasure to watch you work."
We agree.
The bevy of sights and sounds on Day 1 was almost overwhelming. Red Light District featured an incredible threesome signing on one side of its house booth as Jasmine Byrne, Keri Sable and Roxy Jezel gave guys some real Vegas thrills. Sandra Romain, nominated for AVN Foreign Female Performer of the Year, sat just across the way at the Platinum X booth.
As usual, porn super agent Mark Spiegler perused the show floor with a harem of porn girls, including newcomer McKenzie Lee, a London native who has already been booked through March.
Jill Kelly Productions exclusive Tyra Banxxx, who also will be an AVN Trophy Girl on Saturday at the 22 annual AVN Awards Show, gave AVN.com this first impression of the spectacle.
"It’s crazy. I like it a lot," she said. "I’m going to meet Chingy!"
"The early morning business is good." Lewis Adams, the general manager of JKP told AVN.com. "The B2B is very good. We have a lot of foreign deals in the works right now."
JKP exclusive Cindy Crawford wore red and discussed how she was looking forward to the JKP party at the Hard Rock later.
Other highlights of the first few hours included Sin City Girl Aurora Snow looking hot in a long pink dress, Adam & Eve contract star Carmen Luvana in pink pants with a flower in her hair and Digital Playground’s Devon, spotted walking hand-in-hand with a Venetian security official.
KSEX shock jock Wankus sported the infamous "LA County Pornographer" windbreaker as he set up for his broadcast from atop the Adam & Eve booth. He was accompanied by KSEX radio personality Daisy.
Then there was the presence of Dani Woodward, another nominee for the prestigious Best New Starlet honor. Woodward said she was having fun seeing her pictures in strange places.
"I walked by the Exposed booth and I’m on two covers of their magazine and I didn’t even know it. Robbie Bentley shot it. Isn’t that fun?" Woodward said.
There was even a Buck Adams sighting around 2 p.m. near the Pure Play booth.
