Sportsheets Introduces Flirt Line

Sportsheets International has just released Flirt by Sportsheets, a line of adult novelties for women.

“The price points, the packaging and the products included in the Flirt line were developed in response to feedback from customers and an exhaustive analysis of the market,” said Sportsheets Vice President, Julie Stewart.

“We heard from a number of home party organizers that they would love to carry Sportsheets products but they needed a price point more accommodating to their mark up. Basically, we were pricing ourselves out their market,” Stewart said.

Sportsheets researched the home party market to develop a line specifically for home party participants. “Our challenge was to develop a line of products that was fun and non-threatening, suggestive without being overtly sexual,” Stewart continued. “In the end, we realized that we didn’t need to reinvent the wheel, just the wheel’s materials, color, and packaging.

“And, of course, we needed to meet the right price point without sacrificing the high-standard of quality that Sportsheets has become known for.”

The resulting Flirt collection features fantasy kits with sashes and restraints, in lieu of the neoprene cuffs found in the kits in the Sportsheets line, feather ticklers, and Petite Plush Pillows, a half-sized version of the Hide Your Vibe Pillows.

In addition, three of Sportsheets intercourse aids – The Lover’s Doggie Style Position Strap, the Sex Sling, and the Missionary Enhancer – were repackaged for inclusion in the Flirt line. The sex aids, all of which are still available in their original black as part of the Sportsheets line, were made pink for the Flirt line.

“Women gravitate towards pink instinctively, even though the product does the same thing no matter what color it is. It’s a girl thing, but its effective – and it’s certainly worked with the Flirt line,” said Tamara Bell, founder of the recently launched Home Party Plan Association.

Flirt also tried to offer packaging that projected a “message that is both sensual and sexy...we moved away from models in favor of seductive drawn images because women with kids are sometimes hesitant to bring pictures of semi-nude women into their home,” Stewart said.
