TORRANCE, Calif. - The Spearmint Rhino in Torrance, Calif., will host the second round of the annual Entertainer of the Year competition tonight.
Christina from Rouge in Van Nuys, one of the Rhino's sister clubs, won the first round on Sept. 18. She now advances to the finals to compete for the coveted Spearmint Rhino Entertainer of the Year 2009 crown. Madison from the Spearmint Rhino in City of Industry placed second, and also advanced to the finals on Thursday, Oct. 23. The preliminaries continue every Thursday through Oct. 16.
Every year all the Spearmint Rhino's and their affiliate clubs in the United States send their best entertainers to compete on one stage.
The winner receives a feature dancing contract to perform at all Spearmint Rhino's in the U.S. and Canada. She also gets $5,000 cash, a diamond and gold custom Rhino necklace (provided by Capri Jewelers of LA), a $5,000 gift certificate from Dr. John Anastasatos, a professional photo shoot with a portfolio and a $1,500 gift certificate to the Spearmint Rhino Superstore. The winner receives more than $40,000 in cash and prizes.
