Sounds Erotic Creates Mainstream Venture

Sounds Erotic (www.sounds-erotic.com), a creator of audio, erotic stories, has recently bifurcated its business into a new “mainstream” venture, Sounds Romantic (www.soundsromantic.com).

Aimed at netting Internet traffic and hard-copy recording sales from sites beyond the Adult community, CEO Brian Oliversmith says his product has changed little between the two brands in his search for larger markets.

“Bottom line, the difference is almost totally semantic," he said. "Many of the same recordings we sell at Sounds Erotic are what we deploy under the Sounds Romantic label, but the ‘romantic’ moniker is simply receiving a strong response from the general public, mainstream brick-and-mortar and online suppliers.

“Women, in particular, seem to be less threatened by that approach and we are happy to be able to access larger markets, of course.”

Oliversmith says that both companies have stories written by professional screenplay writers and are performed by voice actors at the Voice Box recording studio in Hollywood, Calif.

In addition, a recent deal with Penthouse has allowed Sounds Erotic exclusive access to the texts of “Penthouse Letters.”

“Obviously, receiving the opportunity to turn Penthouse content over into an audio format brings us significant name recognition for the purposes of marketing our product,” said Oliversmith. “In the end, though, it’s all about bringing partners together as they turn on with these little short stories.”
