Snoop Dogg's Caravan Hit with Gunfire

Snoop Dogg's motorcade was the target of gunfire by a passing car in the Mid-City area on Thursday night, wounding his bodyguard, according to news reports.

The rapper was traveling in a caravan of five cars, heading south on Fairfax Avenue and Washington Boulevard about 9 p.m. when a car pulled alongside the vehicles and fired several rounds, police told the Los Angeles Times. Two cars were hit and one man was injured, the report said. Snoop was unharmed.

The police took three men into custody about a mile from the crime scene, but they were released several hours later after questioning, the Times reported.

Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle (Hustler Video) won the AVN Award in 2002 for Top Selling Tape. He followed that with Snoop Dogg's Hustlaz: Diary of a Pimp, an AVN Spotlight Pick in January.
