A rat or rats seem to have Kid Vegas in the cross hairs of their gun sights. Jeff at Legend Video was contacted again by the LAPD which is taking a close interest in Kid Vegas: Whoremaster, particularly for the presence in it of one Wesley Pikes, who, according to police, is on parole. Pikes, according to police was ratted out as using firearms in the video - an illegal AK-47. Pikes as a parolee is not supposed to be with firearms of any kind.
Jeff: "A woman detective called me and explained what the situation was. Apparently somebody has ratted out Kid Vegas. I don't know if it's over jealousy or another Gen-X director. I don't know who did it. But apparently they [the police] caught wind of the situation with the guns. One of the people that is in the video firing the guns is a Wesley Pikes who's on parole and is not supposed to be near guns. She wanted to come in and get the raw footage. I told her the raw footage is being cut right now, I don't have it to give right now. She basically said I could either give it, the easy way, or they could go about it the hard way. I said look, I'm not trying to fight you guys on this. I'll give you whatever you need. I don't have it right now. I do have chromes of people using guns, and you're more than welcome to come in here and take a look at those, and I'll give you whatever else you need later. They came in and started looking at the chromes. They're looking at them and taking a few here and there. I asked them how they knew to come here about this. She said somebody in the industry, they wouldn't tell me who it was, pointed them in our direction with this gun-thing. Then, as they're looking at the chromes they happened to notice that the gun is an AK-47 which one detective tells me is an illegal firearm. It also has a bayonet on it which is also illegal. They're asking me whose guns they are. I told them I didn't know. I didn't know anything about it. They said that's okay, they know already because of this informant. They're coming back tomorrow to get the raw footage. They didn't want a copy of the video. They wanted it uncut for whatever reasons. When they were looking at the chromes I made mention that the footage wasn't shot in California, it was shot in Texas. They said, no, this was shot in Palmdale. I said how do you know it was shot in Palmdale. They said because of the informant. I don't know who it is that's giving them the information, but as far as I know it was shot in Texas. But apparently they have an inside source telling them it was shot in Palmdale. I don't know where this is going to lead to. We cooperated. I'm not going to jeopardize the business over this. They said they didn't care what we were doing with the footage. They said all they were interested in was who was shooting the guns, and who's guns are they. We have nothing to with that."
