Smash Pictures’ Cheating Housewives Jumps on a Pop Culture Fad

Smash Pictures is capitalizing on a major pop culture fad with Cheating Housewives, its hardcore lampoon of the popular network TV show. The movie, starring Vicky Vette, is set for release July 14.

The much-watched and buzzed-about show took the best elements of daytime trash TV and put them into a perfect primetime package. But, said Smash VP Stuart Wall, “We wanted to show what really goes on and what the TV show leaves out.”

The movie was directed by industry veteran Mike Metropolis. His only instructions were to make Cheating Housewives “dirty, neighborly, chockfull of backstabbing and packed with tons of great sex.”

Vette, who plays The Temptress, said, “This was a really fun movie to shoot and I loved the sex I had there.”

Other stars of the adultery-ridden flick are Cherie (The Bitch), Rayveness (The Flirt), Roxanne Hall (The Whore) and Chelsea Zinn (The Seductress).

“Smash Pictures,” according to publicist Jeff Mullen of All Media Play, “has delivered a film with girls as sweet as homemade cookies and as dirty as whores—a surefire combination that makes each one fun to watch.”

Smash reminds its website customers that it now designs hard and soft flip covers depending on which version they choose to post on their sites. Customers should email Stuart regarding their preferences.
