RIVERSIDE, CALIF. - Silver Sinema, a major player in the straight adult industry, has announced the release of its first gay title, Gay Sex Resort.
SC Albert, the vice president of business development, said, "We realized that competing in the gay market for DVDs and our online presence requires sufficient resources and gay leadership to embrace the gay community and their specific needs in a competitive market. Extending our brand's gay reach lends well for our overall product credibility."
Silver Sinema recently partnered with Pure Play Media, so PPM will have exclusive distribution rights for the gay line. PPM's president, M. Santiago, said, "Our team has also invested a significant amount of resources and human capital to ensure we remain ‘genuine' to the gay community's needs. By assisting SS in distribution, we have taken innovative approaches to have an active gay presence in the community, build the necessary business relationships, and exercise high levels of quality control. It is imperative to be proactive in the advising process for producing premium gay content."
Silver Sinema is a high-end line that specializes in high definition DVDs in both the straight and reality markets. The company plans to release three gay and gay reality titles per month in 2008.
Gay Sex Resort is scheduled to hit stores October 1.
