Shiva Entertainment is about to unveil another portable porn site at Vidpod.nl, which will provide video downloads for the Apple iPod.
Vidpod follows closely on the heels of Shiva’s recent introduction, PSPvideo.nl, a video download site for Sony’s PlayStation Portable.
“We want to provide [owners of portable video devices] with some adult content,” says Shiva spokesman Bram Jobse. “We think that, again, this is going to be a huge success. If we look at the amount of downloads we have at PSPvideo.nl and the huge sales from the iPod, we have high expectations for this site.”
There are numerous websites offering adult content, which makes it harder and harder to distinguish oneself in a highly competitive market, Jobse says, but he is sure Shiva Entertainment knows how to deal with new developments in a fast and professional way, leaving the competition “flabbergasted.”
“As a serious business, you just have to try and don’t be afraid to take a risk here and there,” says Jobse. “We already look forward to the next technological step and the next creative idea from our New Media department.”
Shiva Entertainment sees the new iPod as a nice change in the market, because it is capable of displaying high-quality video. That makes it a good promotion venue for Shiva Entertainment’s movies, Jobse says.
In addition to being revenue sources on their own, the new websites also be used to promote new DVD releases from the company.
