In their back-to-school catalog, preppie young adult retailer Abercrombie & Fitch included photos and interviews with Merv Griffin, Paula Abdul and the girls from Shane’s World Studios' College Invasion #2.
After last year’s media onslaught regarding Shane’s World #29 and Shane’s World #32, the adult videos that featured porn stars partying with college kids, Abercrombie & Fitch contacted Shane’s World Studios owner Jennie Grant to see if they would be interested in participating in the A&F Quarterly, Abercrombie & Fitch’s quarterly catalog that is two-third’s merchandise promotion and one-third lifestyle editorial. With the back to school issue being called “The Sex Ed Issue,” Shane’s World’s inclusion was a no-brainer.
“They felt we would be a perfect addition for their back to school catalog,” said Grant. “A few years ago they featured Jenna Jameson in their catalog. We are excited that this year it’s us.”
The women featured in the photo are Avy Scott, Videoteam contract-performer Daisy, and of course Shane’s World publicist and regular performer Calli Cox. The corresponding interview involves Cox and Daisy fielding questions regarding Shane’s World, the sexual prowess of college students, and what it takes to be a male performer.
“We had such a blast shooting for the catalog,” Cox said. “It isn’t very often that girls in the adult world are given such high mainstream coverage. Shane’s World is definitely doing something right!”
The A&F Quarterly is sold four times a year at their nearly 500 stores nationwide and through their website. Copies of the back to school issue will be released next week.
College Invasion #2 will ship August 26.
