CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Shane’s World Studios has entered into an exclusive worldwide content licensing deal with Plaid Bag Media. Run by 25-year industry veteran Peter Reynolds, Plaid Bag will represent the studio for broadcast, hotel pay-per-view, IPTV and VOD platforms.
Terms of the deal include all of Shane’s World’s 2011 releases, including the recently wrapped Shane’s World 42 filmed on location in St. Martin. The deal also encompasses the entire studio library.
“The deal with Shane’s World further strengthens the amazing content Plaid Bag Media can offer our clients in America and overseas,” Reynolds said. “Based on the strength of Shane’s World’s DVD sales, we are certain to see an equally impressive consumer demand for the movies on other delivery platforms.”
In November, Shane’s World inked a distribution deal with Adam & Eve, which was Reynolds’ first Plaid Bag client. He exclusively represents the studio in the content licensing arena. Reynolds formerly worked for Adam & Eve as well.
“While our business practices have undergone a complete transformation, our content will continue to harness the fun and wild vibe Shane’s World is known for in an even more extreme fashion,” Shane’s World President Megan Stokes said. “The worldwide licensing deal with Plaid Bag Media and the DVD distribution deal with Adam & Eve put Shane’s World on a larger playing field, where more people can enjoy the reality-style adult films we popularized and perfected. Shane’s World will soon be a global brand, and our upcoming movies will blow people’s minds.”
