CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Reality porn pioneer Shane’s World has separated from Hush Hush Entertainment and is jumping back into production with new editions of its well known Shane’s World and College Invasion series.
As part of its new direction, the company has brought back Megan Stokes as part-owner and president. Stokes formerly served as Shane’s World’s vice president of sales, foreign and domestic and was with the company for five years.
Stokes told AVN that Shane’s World would soon be announcing a distribution deal for its lines, which would free her up to work more in a business development capacity.
“Since the [relationship with Hush Hush] has ended, we have been flattered with tons of strategic offers from some fantastic companies,” Stokes said. “We will soon be announcing homes for the multiple divisions of our company. It’s all about choosing the right company to partner with in order to foster a proper team environment. We are fortunate to still have such a strong fan base that is still demanding new product. Even the outpouring of support we have seen from the industry has been tremendous. I quickly realized I am just one of many that hold a special place in my heart for the brand.”
Shane’s World partnered with Hush Hush Entertainment in Dec. 2007. The two companies’ split allows Shane’s World to now focus all its efforts on producing new content—something for which its fan base has clamored.
“I think if you have ever met me you are aware of how big a place in my heart I have for the Shane’s World brand,” Stokes said. “When this opportunity presented itself to me, it was a no-brainer. We had some great long talks about the direction of the company and knew we would do best going back to our roots of being a boutique, fan-centric brand. We quickly decided to have Camera Guy and the original team rejoin the company and they will soon be producing new Shane's World and College Invasion movies. We also have some fantastic ideas for some new series that only the Shane’s World team could produce.”
Stokes said that production on Shane’s World’s newest title would commence in the coming weeks and that the company would be announcing its distribution deal soon.
