Sexy Panty Raider Video Game Ships In May

Photograph supermodels' specific styles and colors of panties to keep three testosterone-overloaded aliens from blowing up the Earth? You'll get to try if you play Simon and Schuster Interactive's forthcoming Panty Raider: From Here To Immaturity, which ships during May. But a few of the usual suspects are hoping you don't.

A player takes the role of Nelson, described by the gamemaker as an innocent bystander forced to help the aliens hunt the panties. "Nelson's job," Simon and Schuster Interactive said, "is to photograph specific models, wearing specific types and colors of underwear as specified by the aliens."

And if Nelson fails in the allotted time? Why, that's simple - the aliens blow up Earth.

Now, how did he get himself into this predicament? Said the game maker, a catalog from a famous lingerie shop showed up by mistake in one horny alien's mailbox. After he and two buddies wore the catalog out, the game maker continued, they hijacked a space vessel and hit the universe running in search of supermodels and their undies.

It won't ship quietly, however - published reports indicate there is already a small surge of parents and other critics pushing Simon and Schuster to think twice before releasing the game. The publisher has been hit with e-mails complaining about portraying girls and women as sex objects and boys and men as violent and angry.

Played from Nelson's viewpoint, Panty Raiders: From Here To Immaturity starts with Nelson receiving instructions on girls and targeted underwear, then "teleports" him to the Model Isle where the clock starts running. Once he's there, Nelson can use tools like cheesy pickup lines to lure models from the woods, X-ray glasses like the ones you used to see in the comic books of old, various lures, and a camera.

Aimed at teenagers primarily, Panty Raider: From Here To Immaturity will be made available in a hybrid CD-ROM format for PC and Mac alike, with an anticipated price of $19.95, according to Simon and Schuster Interactive.
