Senate Questions FCC on Broadcast Decency

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) was questioned on Thursday by the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee concerning the subject of broadcast indecency. According to OneNewsNow.com, a Parents Television Council spokesman thinks the new "Democrat-controlled Congress may exercise more oversight of the FCC than their Republican counterparts have over the past 12 years."

According to the report, the Senate asked five FCC members about issues such as media consolidation, Internet access and broadcast decency standards.
