Say Your Pwayers, Varmint: Playboy Sues Stripper Website

If you plan to run an adult website, stealing content and trademarks is naughty enough without going right to the rabbit hutch itself. That's what Erotic Image, Inc. and Vidcom, Inc. owner Tony Hassan may be learning, now that he's been hit with an infringement suit by Playboy.

In fact, despite the suit in U.S. District Court, Detroit, Hassan reportedly continues touting strippers with such nicknames as Ms. Playboy and Ms. Playmate, not to mention one image - for a Ms. Sunkiss - that appears to be identical to a photograph that appeared in the April 1996 issue of Playboy magazine.

The magazine wants over $75,000 in damages and an injunction against Hassan, who also planted metatags and other hidden mentions of the Playboy name throughout his site pages - which makes his site show up more frequently during Web searches, according to the court filing.
