LOS ANGELES-Adult star Sasha Grey is set to make her debut on the HBO series Entourage on Aug. 1, the premium cable channel announced today.
Grey, who plays herself in the recurring role, seduces the star of the show, Hollywood star Vinny Chase. Chase is said to disapprove of his new paramour’s vocation as an adult star and seeks to keep her away from performing.
It was announced in May that Grey, a winner of multiple AVN Awards, including the Jenna Jameson Crossover Star of the Year and Female Performer of the Year, would be featured on the high-rated HBO program.
We also now know that Chase, played by Adrian Grenier, initially picks up Grey at a bar and in a future episode he takes her to a meeting with Spiderman and X-Men creator Stan Lee. Initial reports indicated that Grey’s story arc would stretch into next season, the show’s final one.
“I think Sasha’s going to have a very successful transition,” Entourage creator Doug Ellin said. “Sasha’s the biggest porn star in the world right now. I wouldn’t have done this storyline if Sasha passed. Luckily she was okay with doing it.”
Grey first shot to mainstream acting fame in last year’s Steven Soderbergh-directed The Girlfriend Experience.
Entourage airs Sunday nights on HBO.
