AVN's Mark Kernes along with RayVeness, Jade Marcella and Dee were interviewed this past Sunday morning by the German TV show Liebe Sünde which appears on Germany's Pro 7 Network. The subject dealt weith women with natural breasts.

Mariam Davis writes: "Hello Gene, I am new to sending you E mails but I am sure you will find me Informative as I work for NBC. I was able to attend the AIM porn Girls auction at the Hustler store. Our special attention went to a black girl Named Andy Lace. We noticed her and we asked Sharon Mitchell if we could interview her for EXTRA our daily Hollywood news show.

"We did interview her at the AIM offices on Ventura Blvd. Her interview will show up on EXTRA next Monday or Tuesday, I believe Sharon Mitchell has the exact day. I think you should watch it as this new black porn girl is not only attractive and bright but her ability to communicate is incredible and from our research into her by talking to her peers she is one of the best new black talent to come along in years according to a source at Elegant Angel which is a company she has recently worked for.

"I will will send you e-mails weekly to keep you informed of things here at NBC. You keep up the good work as you are a true credit to the Adult entertainment Business."

Randy Kaplan writes: "Dear Gene:You are absolutely right that Terri Hess is in serious denial. Although it is undeniable that actions by third parties, for example, DechTar's printer pulling the plug on them just before the holiday season catalogs were to be printed, contributed to DechTar's demise, the fact is that Terri and her team made serious mistakes, and people like Toshi, Tim and Moffitt, and, potentially, all their employees and customers, got hurt badly.

"Terri is just as morally responsible for her unpaid debts as anyone whose actions forced DechTar into bankruptcy. But Moffitt's likening Terri's beating at the hands of homophobes to the financial beating DechTar clients took is way over the top. Sad to say, financial shenanigans and hopeless deadbeats are par for the course in porn. Homophobia that leads to violence may also be much too common, but it's not on the same level morally, and Moffitt knows it. He's one of the most decent guys in this biz, and his desire to alert people to the potential risk of doing business with Hess is certainly well-founded, but c'mon!

"Another point - when he says that Hess bilked her IPO investors, he may be off base. I inspected all the registration documents, and this offering was duly filed. Under the law, IPO proceeds are placed in escrow until such time as the minimum amount of the offering is reached and the other legal requirements have been satisfied. If the offering doesn't pass muster, as in DechTar's case (the minimum required amount under the terms of the offering wasn't even close to being reached), the money is released from escrow back to the original investors. Monies sufficient to pay for the process must be paid into escrow up front before an offering can commence, so I don't quite know how anyone could have been bilked.

"I'm not saying Moffitt is wrong, but I'd sure be curious as to how it happened. Anyone out there who invested in the DechTar offering who can tell us if they got their money back? Randy Kaplan."

Mike South mike-south.com writes: "HyGene, Couple of observations here...first is absolutely a BIG attaboy to Zoe for standing her ground, if she doesn't want to be used to make Kid Vegas more visible to the public she shouldn't have to.

"Second is that I recruit in strip clubs all the time and have no problem with it. I have sent several girls to Jim Gunn and have shot some of the girls he has shot not one of them has ever said anything bad about Jimbo....Kid Vegas on the other hand....Different story. Gene, how about taking that cast iron skillet you have hanging in your office (gee how'd I know that) that you were to use to beat Tawni Lyons over the head (damn knew that too) and use it in a Wrestling match with Kid Vegas, call it a Cracker Barrel Death match or something hell I'll even chip in to sponsor it.

"I have a better idea lets all vow to stop giving this moron any further publicity, I mean have you seen that lame assed shit he called a movie? Off my soapbox now. Mike South."

Gene sez: "I've never heard a bad word said about Jim Gunn, either, which makes Kid Vegas' comments all the more ludicrous. But that's Kid Vegas. I, too, applaud the stand Zoe took. But, to clear up more important matters, the iron skillet, a gift from Tawni Lyons, which Mike South speaks of, is not hanging in my office. It sits on my desk for easy access."

Kenny Knoll writes: "Gene My name is Kenny Knoll. I talked to you at the VSDA about the whole situation on George Martin. I saw the new AVN and a movie ( Southern California Sluts) I filmed and directed for George got a 4 A rating. I loved the review, but, renting the tape my name is no where on it. George said my footage was terrible. As a result I did not get paid for this project . Also GM's Memorial Day 99 Vol 2 I filmed is almost all my footage, and, again no recognition or payment. Guess what he says my footage sucked on that too. Anybody in the industry that digs good reviews, and commando style balls to the wall shooting, feel free to email me at [email protected].

"PS: Gene if you saw the Mardi Gras Volume 1 by GM video, you would know from the HAIRY / HOMELESS / DIRTY DISGUSTING SMELLY LESBIAN SCENE!!!!!! That I'll shoot just about anything that comes my way!!!!! Thanks Kenny Knoll."

George Marin claims that Knoll HAS been paid. "He worked for us for four months," Martin says. "He's quite a disgruntled employee. There's a lot of problems that I don't want to go into. Yes, he had something to do with the shooting, but most of the footage wasn't usable. It was an editing nightmare. He worked for us and was paid, believe me. He worked here eight hours a day and came along on the trips. As far as his name not getting into AVN, I had nothing to do with that." Martin says GM never puts credits on its tapes. "Nobody's name goes on there anymore since we had trouble at Copper Canyon. They [the law] started pulling peoples' names off and citing them. That's why we have nothing on there anymore and the shooters aren't mentioned. I'm not going to bad-mouth him Knoll]. He wants to get into the porno business, fine."

Martin and crew will be back at the Sand Bar in Lake Havasu for the Labor Day weekend.

Porn Director Found Dead In Swimming Pool - He Says

Reports of his death may be slightly exaggerated if not premature, but director Charley Crow decided to release the following statement. We have contacted Crow for additional comments about his apparent drowning and obituary which follows.

Crow: "Charley Crow, multi-hyphenate auteur and rising director at adult video company Extreme Associates, died sometime early Sunday morning, August 22, 1999. He was found floating face-down in a swimming pool in the San Fernando Valley. Cause of death is unknown.

"As camera man and editor, Crow worked on several features for Extreme directors Lizzy Borden and Rob Black. In his short tenure at Extreme, he contributed to such titles as ACID SEX, S.I.D.S., PORNOFLICK and many others.

"His credits as director include ARCHER'S LAST DAY and CORNHOLE ARMAGEDDON. His third movie, L.A. 399, was set to start shooting the end of August. A high-end feature, it was to star Jasmin St. Clair and Jamie Gillis. Rob Black, who hired Crow "on a drug-induced whim," had no comment except to say, "The script [for L.A. 399] is good, damn good, so it's gonna get made. Charley would want me to make that happen."

"Crow had been depressed lately, according to friends. His workload was getting to him, and he was observed talking to himself, hitting himself in the head, and repeating the word "gangbang" over and over.

"Crow has no surviving relatives.

Bunny Ranch Honors Jesse The Body

A place that has seen many naked bodies in its business lifetime, honors one with a bedroom suite.

Gov. Jesse Ventura is having bedroom suite at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch being named in his honor. Ventura says that he patronized the brothel back in his Navy SEAL days in the 1970's.

According to a wire service story, The Bunny Ranch in Carson City, is remodeling its top-of-the-line "Monica's Oral Office" into the "Jesse (The Body) Ventura Suite."

It will be decorated with Navy SEAL regalia, professional wrestling memorabilia and "anything to do with Jesse's career," ranch owner Dennis Hof is quoted as saying. Donations of items for the suite are being solicited via radio stations serving SEAL bases in California and Florida, and contributors will receive free passes to the brothel, he added.

Ventura himself will be sent a lifetime pass to the 45-year-old commercial sex emporium, which he immortalized in his best-selling autobiography with tales of his visit there as a Navy frogman in the 1970s.

"All the celebrities come here," Hof said. "Jesse is one of the few who admits it."

Hof said the governor's pass will be mailed to him, along with a photo of several dozen female employees posed next to asign saying Ventura had been there. Asked about Hof's plans, Ventura gave no comment.

Hof adds comments in today's update posted later.

Pickets target Cincinnati video shop

Like it or not, VIP Video is becoming the most recognizable set of initials in Cincinnati since WKRP. On the eve of yet one more court fight for VIP and owner Peter Tomaino, a group calling itself Citizens for a Safe Community, which used to picket Diamonds Cabaret, a topless dance club that closed in June, has found VIP to be its favorite target pf protest.

"It used to be a VCR repair place. We'd like to see it go back to that, and we'll send (the store) all the business in the world," said Jodie Burton, a leader of the group that has been protesting each Friday and Saturday night in front of the store.

Ironically, store owners say, video sales have increased because of the protesters and three obscenity trials involving the video stores in Millville and Hamilton.

"They've brought a lot of free publicity," said Barbi Tomaino, wife of VIP Video stores owner Peter Tomaino.

In Butler County, which is preparing today for its fourth obscenity trial in fewer than two years with Tomaino's store, pornography proponents and anti-smut forces seem increasingly determined to fight - with the help of the First Amendment.

"Everyone is protected by the same laws," said Mrs. Tomaino, whose husband was acquitted this month on obscenity charges and saw a 1998 misdemeanor conviction overturned last week.

"We all have the right to our own opinions. I hope the protesters remember the law that gives them the right to protest what they don't like also gives others the right to watch the videos they like. It's freedom of choice."

Jodie Burton, 26, said she is merely expressing her right to assemble peacefully and espouse beliefs she holds passionately. "I'm not saying people don't have a right to look at it," she said. "But I don't want it in my city because of (the effects) that go along with it."

Burton, a mother of two small children, said she and her husband of eight years previously experimented with watching pornography - with disastrous results.

"Porn promotes changing partners and not being satisfied with what you have," she said. "Porn did not destroy my family, but it tried to."

Burton also cited studies that show X-rated imagery may encourage or influence some sex crimes.

Burton's mother, Phyllis Stewart, 61, said she sat through Tomaino's recent obscenity trial in Butler County Common Pleas Court and watched all three videos that prosecutors claimed were obscene: Sinderella She Male, Best of Freaks and Orgymania.

"That was important to me because I wanted to sit and look at everything the jury did," she said. Orgymania, for instance, showed "10 or 15 people in a room that were constantly having sex ... no relationship, just sex for sex's sake."

Stewart said she listened carefully as prosecutors explained to jurors that to be considered obscene, images must meet a three-part test. Stewart said she was troubled that the jury couldn't agree the videos met that test, adding, "I was convinced without a doubt."

Jurors declined requests for interviews. Mrs. Tomaino, meanwhile, said protesters in front of her store don't understand the legal definition of obscenity.

Bruce Drushel, assistant chairman of the communications department at Miami University and an expert on obscenity law said that most communities have quit using obscenity laws to control sexually oriented businesses. They prefer zoning laws that restrict their location to industrial areas and keep them away from residential areas and business districts, he said.

In April, the Butler County commissioners adopted zoning regulations doing exactly that. Also, Hamilton City Council is considering legislation that would strengthen its regulation of adult businesses. A pending ordinance, which has undergone the first of three readings, would increase the "buffer zone" - the amount of space required between a performer and a patron - from 3 feet to 6 feet. It also would relegate such businesses solely to industrial areas.

"And who's going to go out to an industrial zone to watch this crap?" said Councilman Richard Holzberger. Now, such enterprises can set up shop in certain business districts - and that was how Diamonds came into town, Holzberger said. "We want to head that off from happening again."

New county or city regulations wouldn't affect existing sexually oriented businesses, such as Millville Video and VIP Video stores.

Millville Video Inc. is charged with two counts of pandering obscenity, stemming from three adult videos: Man Made, Agony of Arianna and Story of Ouch. A judge has issued a gag order that prohibits parties in that case from speaking to reporters before or during the trial. The order also restricts people with signs or banners from coming within 1,000 feet of the courtroom.

Camp Counselor Busted on Child Porn Charges Suspected of Trafficking Photos of Campers on Internet

According to the APB News, a camp counselor is accused of downloading thousands of pornographic photos of children and taking photographs of pre-adolescent campers that he may have trafficked on the Internet, authorities said.

Jeremy Lacey, 19, of Norwich, Vt., pleaded innocent last week to four counts of child pornography/use of a child in a sexual performance. The charges stem from the thousands of pornographic files found on computer disks seized from four locations in Vermont and New Hampshire. Each count carries a maximum 10-year prison sentence.

"This is the largest volume we've seen in Vermont," said Detective Michael Schirling of the Chittenden County, Vt., Special Investigations Unit. "There were 1,268 files on one disk. We anticipate finding over 10,000 files."

Vermont police are handling the initial charges, while New Hampshire police are conducting a separate investigation of Lacey's activities at Camp Mowglis, where he had been a swimming instructor for four years.

Lacey, a student at the University of Vermont and president of his fraternity there, turned himself in following a three-week investigation that revealed he had posted a request for nude photos of children on a Web site, Schirling said. Lacey was released to the custody of his parents pending a pretrial hearing in October, police added.

In the request, posted October 1997, the author said he was looking for photos of "young, white (10-13) boys" and offered pictures of "naked boys, ages 9-14, from a summer camp," according to the affidavit.

A search last month of the camp, Lacey's dorm room, the University of Vermont's computer database and his parent's Norwich home turned up seven computer disks with thousands of pornographic files, as well as numerous photographs, police said.

During the searches, police found an address book containing two pages of Web site and newsgroup addresses, including multiple listings for pornographic sites, disks with files containing images of children engaging in sex acts, and photos of partially naked and naked boys, according to the affidavit.

The photos of the pre-adolescent boys included children undressing, exposing their buttocks to the camera and swimming naked. Administrators at Camp Mowglis told police they were not sure whether the images were taken at their camp and could not identify the boys, but at least one of the photos was labeled "Camp Mowglis," the affidavit said.

Police were alerted to the Web posting by a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's Cybertip Line. Officials at Camp Mowglis, where Lacey was working as a waterfront supervisor, said they asked him to leave July 30 after learning of the allegations.

Lacey, who was president of an alcohol-free fraternity at the University of Vermont, had a long association with Camp Mowglis, an exclusive camp for boys founded in 1903 on Newfound Lake in northern New Hampshire. Tuition for a seven-week session this summer was $4,150.

The camp took its name from the boy hero of Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book, and the camp's founder received permission from the author to use the name. The camp's Web site emphasizes its strong outdoor tradition of "adventure and learning" in a "structured and safety-oriented atmosphere."

Lacey told police he had attended the camp for 13 years, first as a camper and later as a counselor and waterfront director.

Fort Worth Judge arrested, accused of intoxication; half-nude woman found in car

A criminal court judge was arrested on a misdemeanor public intoxication charge this weekend after police found him and a half-naked woman in a car in an isolated field where stolen cars are often dumped and burned.

Judge Wallace Bowman of County Criminal Court 4 and the woman were taken to jail on charges of public intoxication.

Bowman, 49, who has been a judge for more than eight years, was spotted with the woman in a car leaving a wooded area shortly after midnight, police reports say.

The car stopped when police shined a spotlight on it, and police found Bowman and a woman who was "nude from the waist down" with an open beer in one hand and her shorts in another, police said.

Asked what they were doing, the judge, who was fully clothed, told police that they were "just visiting," according to the report.

In an interview, a somber Bowman said he is "extremely embarrassed" by the arrest.

The judge said he had never met the woman before last week and that they were not having sex or romantically involved. He would not discuss the incident further. He said he has been married nine years.

"I'm very embarrassed about it, and I will apologize in advance to anyone that it harms because I am, I guess to an extent, a representative of the public in that I am a judge," Bowman said. "This is a horrible thing to be going through, but I know I'm responsible for my own actions, so I'll have to press on and hope things go OK."

Court records show that the woman arrested with the judge, Barshia Hice, 42, of Fort Worth, is on probation for driving while intoxicated, spent 30 days in jail for DWI in 1997 and had a 1988 theft charge against her dismissed in the court where Bowman now sits.

Hice, described in police reports as "dirty," "ragged," "profane and abusive," swore at officers on the way to jail, police reports say. She told officers they should "catch some real criminals," adding, "All we were going to do was" have sex, reports say.

Hice was also arrested for public intoxication in February after police found her apparently passed out on the sidewalk next to a motel, police reports show.

Police found Bowman and Hice with bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred, incoherent speech, reports say. The police report describes Bowman as polite and neatly dressed. Bowman told police he had only two beers, but he was judged intoxicated by police after he agreed to a field sobriety test, reports say. Bowman said yesterday that he does not have a drinking problem.

The two were arrested because there were found to be "a danger to themselves and to others," reports say. Bowman was at the jail about two hours, reports indicate.

Bowman said he was photographed and booked but not put in a cell, which he said is standard for a minor offense. But Hice was booked into a cell and was at the jail for almost 12 hours, jail employees said.

Bowman identified himself to police only as "a Tarrant County employee" but at the jail he was recognized as a judge. Bowman said he declined to tell police that he was a judge because he was embarrassed but "did not misrepresent my occupation."

Bowman's attorney released a written statement saying, "We anticipate that this matter will be resolved in a fair and equitable manner once all the facts are made known."

The judge, who hears misdemeanor cases such as assaults and DWIs but not public intoxication cases, is now listed in county records with a "criminal identification number" under his full name, Kerry Wallace Bowman.

DJ Andrew Steele writes about our "Play Misty For Me" news story posted last week about a DJ who was using his late nite show to sexually lure young women.

Steele: "Dear Gene, That story about the d.j. in Flint Mich, is totally messed up. It's not "shock jocks" who are to blame. As "BIG MOUTH AT NIGHT" here at WCLG-FM/WCLG.COM I'm known as the porno man. But you see the so called "shock jock" always resides at a rock station that targets men 18-34. We don't interact with 13 year old girls. Top 40 targets women 12 plus and promote themselves as wholesome. They play the backstreet boys and music of that nature. So guess who's listening, 13 year old girls. Almost every top 40 jock I've known has acted like some sick-o at one time or another.

"Women their own age could really care less who they are but oh the little girls love them. Now rock, stations attract women in their 20's. so the big difference between female listeners of a top 40 station and a rock station is that neither have pubic hair but rock station girls shave it, top 40 girls have not had grow in yet. I'm the biggest pervert you will ever hear on the radio, but that is the radio. Just like porn a "shock jock" knows by format that he/she is not talking to little kids. A similar thing happened in Panama City Fl. Who do you think is more damaging porn, which is not intended for those under 18? Or the lyrics of a song like Brittny spears "hit me baby one more time"? What is she saying? Before we accuse the "shock jock" we really need to pay attention to the details. Gene you rule keep it up! -Andrew Steele."

Krysti Mist Appears at The Arena

If you happen to be up that late [12:30 AM, Saturday morning] Miss Extreme of the XPW wrestling league, Krysti Mist, along with wrestlers Big Jake Lawless and Phenomenal Phil will be at The Arena niteclub, 6655 Santa Monica Blvd., signing autographs.

Patrick Hernandez of Rob Black's XPW confirms that wrestling personality Nicole Bass will also be making her XPW wrestling debut at Friday's show, August 27, at the XPW Arena in Reseda.

Hernandez: "A lot of great stuff is happening. People are calling like crazy who want to be involved. This is the start of something that is very solid, and we are looking for people to grow with us. The ball's rolling pretty fast. We're getting a lot of phone calls from a lot of wrestlers who want to jump on this, too. People know something major's going on in California in wrestling. Lo and behold, this is where we are at, now."

Brandy Alexandre writes: "I had been denied benefits by the Employment Development Department of California because they believed, I quit my job with Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks without good cause. After a rather lengthy appeal hearing, attended only by myself and the administrative law judge, they apparently agreed with me that the transfer Forest Lawn imposed on me in light of the revelation that I "was" Brandy Alexandre was not made in good faith. Therefore, I indeed had good cause to "quit" (the way Forest Lawn orchestrated my departure).

In her decision the judge said (yes, it was a woman):

"In the present case, the claimant gave up employment with the employer rather than accept a forced transfer to a position where the claimant had legitimate reasons for doubting that the employer legitimately intended her to succeed in the position, but instead was continuing a campaign to force her out or keep her silent. By the time she was supposed to report to work, the harm had been done as far as the employer was concerned anyway, and so there was little reason to believe the employer would have much reason to have further interest in the claimant in any event...."

The entire letter of determination will be showing on my web site shortly in an update to http://kamikaze.org/forestlawn.html. Brandy Alexandre kamikaze.org

Alexandre's tidbit about Brittany Stryker on Friday's posting prompted asking her to give us more of the story. Alexandre said she had Brittany Stryker's high school class ring for around 10 years, and finally found out where she was working, got in touch with her, and was able to return it.

Brandy said she first came into possession of the ring through Harry Reems. "He and Brittany were living together, and, of course Harry was rather alcoholic," Alexandre said. "She left him, and he got thrown out of his house." Reems along with his boxes of possessions had been in contact with Bill Margold and Alexandre was living with Margold at the time. Alexandre said it finally dawned on her to put a note on her website to the effect that she had the ring. "I don't know what I didn't think of it before," Alexandre said. Alexandre said she never met Stryker, and last Thursday was the first time she actually spoke to her.

Elegant Angel Sez The Hell with Elle

Elegant Angel's now-former contract girl Elle Angel may have proven to be the devil in disguise. Elle was given her walking papers after it had become known that Elle was peddling her butt over at Extreme Associates. Elegant GM Dion Giarusso said he called Extreme on it, and nobody was denying. Giarusso said he wasn't exactly bothered by that, that the handwriting was pretty much on the wall with Elle.

Giarusso: "Elle was scheduled last month for me, and she didn't show up. But we worked it out. Then she said she'd show up for Patrick's [Collins] orgy, and she never showed up. Now we can't even get a hold of her. Next thing I know she's trying to get work at Extreme, trying to get all these jobs. The girl's under contract. I have it in writing. She won't call us back. Patrick's done nothing but good for her. We lent her money to get her car fixed, we got her tits done. She did two scenes for me last month, but the month before that, she said she had her period, couldn't do it. I said fine. I called her two weeks later for a scene, and she had her period again. I don't know how many times this woman bleeds a month. I know for a fact that she's trying to solicit work. She's doing a bunch of bachelor parties. I told Extreme I don't care if they use her. We don't want her anyways. Patrick said when it comes to contract girls, he doesn't give a shit. He'll let them go. But we did nothing but good for that girl. I think in the last six months she's been here, she's done maybe five scenes. She's supposed to do three or four a month, but we still paid her fee for them."

Collins, according to Giarusso, is ready to go to Europe on another shooting expedition. Collins is doing Sodomania Orgies. "We just signed these guys Reinhard and Kareem [no relation to Siegfried and Roy]. They're going to do one movie a month for us," Giarruso said. "They got a really cool style, kinda like Rocco in a way. We're also doing the Filthy First Timers again and the gangbangs - we're doing the stuff that sold real well in the past." Giarusso said Extreme is also doing a collectors' edition of Sodomania.

Here's what Patrick Collins had to say when we talked to right before the Summer Expo on the subject of contract girls. These comments are being aired for the first time, and, ironically, foreshadow Extreme's current situation with Elle.

Collins: "I don't know if it's such a good idea for girls to be under contract, anyway. It certainly isn't really that good a thing for me. Buttwoman is a very special character. If I can find somebody to do that character proficiently, then I'd probably want to have her under contract or contract her for a certain number of Buttwoman videos. The search continues.

"I can sum it up pretty succinctly. Having a contract girl is only beneficial if I have somebody who is articulate and dependable. That combination doesn't seem to go with the type of energy that I like from girls in my scenes. For me, it doesn't pay. Because what I end up doing is promoting a girl and then when I want her to go do store signings, I get one signing or whatever, then she's busy, she doesn't go, that kind of shit. It's better for me to pay a girl per scene. Depending what you're looking for, if you're looking for publicity, if you're looking for image, then I suppose it could be beneficial. I don't really need anything to promote Elegant Angel. The only area of interest that I would have would be the Buttwoman character. So I'm pretty much done with it. But that doe
