Sir Elton John \nLONDON - Elton John staged a wild routine with male strippers at a party for a gay rights group, but the male strippers dressing as Cub Scouts didn't amuse the British Scout Association.
Reuters says the routine was part of a tenth birthday party for the gay rights group Stonewall. John sang at the party accompanied by six teen male strippers who took off their toggles, caps, and uniforms to dance in their underwear.
The Scout Association denounced the routine. "We are disappointed a star of Elton John's calibre participated in something that was so lacking in taste."
John, whose career as a hitmaking artist began with 1970's "Your Song", has long since admitted to bisexuality and is known as an activist for gay rights.
