SERIAL STRIPPER ATTACKER BUSTED

Authorities say a serial thief who terrorized Houston strippers and go-go club waitresses for five months - and beating his victims nearly unconscious after each theft - is now behind bars.

APBNews says Carlos Trevino is accused of following exotic dancers home, threatening them there with a knife, robbing them, and beating them brutally. He's said to have been accompanied by a partner in one attack at least, and is accused of leaving fifteen victims total since last September.

The victims were beaten senseless even when they complied passively with Trevino's demands, APBNews says. Police tell the crime news service one woman was knocked out cold, another suffered a broken jaw, and a third required complete re-constructive surgery on her face.

Trevino's alleged spree had Houston strippers on edge and looking over their shoulders until he was arrested, APBNews says. "We heard about it. We had signs in the dressing room warning girls that he was out there," a dancer at the Centerfolds club, who requested anonymity, tells APBNews.

Clubs hired guards to escort dancers to their cars, she continued, but police tell APBNews Trevino apparently watched for those who went to cars alone and followed them home.

A tip led to his Feb. 16 arrest, and victims reportedly identified him in a police lineup, APBNews says. He's held on $180,000 bail on charges of robbery, aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault - which could bring him life in prison if convicted.

A second suspect, Ryan Tissier, is charged with one count of robbery in this case - APBNews says he's suspected of being the wheelman in at least one of Trevino's thefts but may have attacked women in others.
