Ron Jeremy is the Real 'N Sync

The New York Daily News ran this piece today about Ron Jeremy: "Some of 'N Sync's teenybopper fans got a shock recently when they confused a band member with an overweight porn star. One of the sexy singers - either Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, J.C. Chasez or Chris Kilpatrick - apparently likes checking into hotels under the name Ron Jermy, who happens to be one of the world's most recognizable adult-film stars.

"When fans of the boy band found out Friday that a Ron Jeremy was registered at a hotel in Edmonton, Alberta, they jammed the phone lines trying to get through to their lover boys. The crazed fans had good reason to think they had hit pay dirt since the band was going to stay at the hotel before a Sunday concert in the city. But the gals got a big surprise when the real Ron Jeremy, who was staying there for a local comedy show appearance, answered the phone.

" 'I was getting all these calls around the clock from 14 and 15 year-old girls," Jeremy, a one-time high school teacher, tells us. "When I told them who I was, they were like, 'No - you're J.C.' "

"Jeremy who recently performed with Kid Rock in Las Vegas and Kentucky and has been in mainstream flicks like '54' and 'Detroit Rock City' doesn't think he'll be joining 'N Sync on tour anytime soon. 'I would do it, but I don't know if they'd want it,' he says. "Their audience is so incredibly young.' An 'N Sync rep confirmed the mixup. 'It's true,' she giggled. But she could not identify which singer uses the name Jeremy."

The News did a really good story said Jeremy. "These young girls were calling up my hotel room because we were there at the same time." The Daily News' additional mention of Jeremy's recent performance with Kid Rock in Las Vegas prompted this comment from Jeremy. "That was the biggest rush I've had in half my life," Jeremy said. "To be in front of 10,000 kids. I've introduced fans. That's easy. I've been in front of 40,000 at the Oz Fest. But being on stage to the beat and rapping next to this guy was like a rush I've never had in my life, and I sucked. I do okay ibn the second show, though."
