In an unusual pairing that can draw no comparison, AVN Hall of Famer Ron Jeremy and televangelist Tammy Faye Messner have been cast as roommates in WB’s reality show Surreal Life 2.
The two started living together in a mansion this past Monday, joined by four other roommates: Vanilla Ice, Erik Estrada, Traci Bingham, and Real World Las Vegas cast member Trishelle.
As you might have guessed by looking at the cast list, the concept of the reality series is to provide the “formerly famous” one last shot at being “currently famous.”
They will also have an additional celebrity guest move in each week.
Cameras will capture celebrity interaction as well as field trips to show them interacting with civilians.
Last year Corey Feldman, Gary Coleman, and Vince Neil were among the cast members. Feldman was married during the taping of the show.
The new season of Surreal Life is expected to be broadcast early next year. The WB has ordered six half-hour episodes, with a possibility of increasing their order.
