CHATSWORTH, Calif. - The Zero Tolerance RV, painted with the likenesses of the stars of Roller Dollz, parked itself in the AVN parking lot yesterday at noon, leaving just enough room for a truck from a popular hamburger chain, as a kickoff to today's official release of the Adam & Eve-ZT blockbuster. Stars Alektra Blue, Kayden Kross, Sunny Lane and Bree Olson showed up to serve burgers and chips to hungry AVN staffers. Also on hand, in a supervisory capacity, was A&E general manager Bob Christian.
Lane, looking delectable in pink, had just returned from Michigan where she was dancing on the Déjà vu circuit. She was about to head east to appear at the Exxxotica NY show in Edison, New Jersey, next week. Lane also stars in X-Play's upcoming release Not Bewitched XXX, distributed by Adam & Eve.
Blue, who worked in the movie before she became a Wicked Pictures exclusive, did her first boy-girl scene (with James Deen) without husband Pat Myne, who has been her sole screen partner for over a year. Like Lane, she glided effortlessly around the parking lot on skates.
Olson, the reigning AVN Best New Starlet, said she was looking forward to the release of Adam & Eve's The Submission of O. It's the first time she has appeared in a BDSM movie. "Which is unbelievable," she laughed, "because that's like what I am into the most."
Kross could barely contain her excitement about The Eighth Day, a new big-budget Adam & Eve feature produced by Eli Cross and directed by Ren Savant. "It's just the best thing in history!" she enthused. She has the lead in the post-apocalyptic porn saga as a nuclear holocaust survivor; her sex scenes include one with a group of mutants.
Christian told AVN that The Eighth Day was one of A&E's most expensive movies, right up there with last year's Eden. They've already shot eight days with five more to go, wrapping at the end of this month.
The ZT rec vehicle, which took up most of the lot, is one of their most effective sales tools. The driver takes it around to stores on M2M (manufacturer to merchant) missions, promoting new movies and gathering data-such as what percentage of a store's stock is adult as opposed to mainstream, and is there a special Zero Tolerance section?-for the ZT sales staff. On September 20 it will be heading out to video stores Las Vegas, Phoenix and points beyond as part of the Roller Dollz promo campaign.
