Rocker/Actor/Porn Star Evan Seinfeld

AVN Online associate editor and part-time rock star Frank Meyer gives readers a monthly guide to all that's cool and hip in the world of sex, rock, and rap. With rockers and rappers alike appearing in and producing porn, and mainstream media slowly but surely embracing the genre, it seems high time that we make the connection between those that rock, those that fuck, and everything that lies in between.

This edition of "Frankly Speaking" finds our AVN Online scribe going dome to dome with Even Seinfeld, bassist of seminal New York rap-rockers Biohazard.

With Biohazard, Seinfeld lays claim to one of the first heavy metal/hip-hop crossover hits, "Slam" with hardcore rap act Onyx. A slew of albums (Urban Discipline, Uncivilization, New World Disorder, State of the World Address, Kill Or Be Killed, etc.) found the band getting harder and heavier as they worked with the likes of legendary producer Ed Stasium (Ramones, Talking Heads, Motorhead), Pantera, Hatebreed, fear factory, Sepultura, and toured on high profile treks such as Ozzfest.

The thuggish, ruggish one later sidestepped into acting with a role on the hit HBO prison series OZ. Baring his buns on cable must have tickled his fancy, because soon Seinfeld turned his talents to the adult world: Performing under the nom de porn Spyder Jones, Seinfeld co-stars with his wife Tera Patrick, she of porn superstar fame, in Vivid's upcoming feature, Tera, Tera, Tera.

With scenes with Patrick and Savanna Samson under his metal studded belt, Seinfeld is in the unique position of being at once a porn star, rock star, and mainstream actor.

Seinfeld managed to find a few minutes in his busy schedule to chat with "Frankly Speaking" about having the greatest job in the world... three times over!!!

AVN Online: What made you decide to make the leap into adult films and have sex with your wife on camera?

Evan Seinfeld: I have always been an exhibitionist and hypersexual. I always fantasized about doing porn, but when I found myself completely in love with Tera, the most beautiful woman in the world in my eyes, and certainly in the history of the adult business, it was a dream come true.

AO: Were you really into porn as a couple?

ES: We never really talked about porn; we were too busy having fun, touring with Biohazard all over Europe and the U.S., going to parties, and building our life together. My affinity for the mixture of art, acting, music, photography, and sex with Tera pointed us very organically to a big idea: our own company, TeraVision. After making so many other people rich with her incredible onscreen presence, we felt it was her turn to reap the rewards of being a porn megastar. We just finished shooting two features for TeraVision/Vivid, Tera, Tera, Tera and Tera Patrick is... Flawless. They were directed by Chi Chi LaRue.

AO: How was it shooting your first sex scene?

ES: I get so fuckin' turned on being naked and hard on film, especially with Tera.

AO: Are you technically a Vivid contract star now? Does that make you the first-ever male Vivid contract star?

ES: Vivid actually had some contract guys in the past. Vivid's Steve Hirsch said that I could be the next Vivid Guy, but I am contracted with TeraVision. My directorial debut will be for Tera's next movie, Tera Patrick's Asian Love Palace.

AO: Do you feel you're doing what men and rock stars everywhere just wish they could do?

ES: What do you think? [laughs] I would have to say I am living out the ultimate fantasy. Many jealous people in the rock, mainstream, and adult industries will probably try to cut me down. Remember, don't hate the player, get in the game yourself. I don't think anyone with as much mainstream attention as myself has ever taken the fearless plunge into porno. In life, you have to take chances and not give a fuck what anyone thinks.

AO: Do you think this will have any effect on your mainstream acting career? Do you care?

ES: I think that ancient stigma about "porn can't be mainstream" is over, or at least Tera and I are about to break the mold. More people would rather watch Tera and Jenna in a mainstream fashion than any kind of boring David Letterman or Conan O'Brien. It is only a matter of time. Pretty soon you will have mainstream actors trying to get into porn to revive their careers. I'm not like Tommy Lee or Tera-like, fake-ass Paris Hilton, where we are going to try to "pretend" our movie was a leak out of our private life. We want to make super hot sex on film and we think that as long as it is real and hot and nasty, it is going to continue to keep TeraVision on top of the game. If some uptight, mainstream producer doesn't want to hire me for some movie, that is his loss. It always has and always will be important to me to think outside the box and be a leader and not a follower – just like Biohazard. If anything, in our lame pop culture, the controversy surrounding me being the first rock star/actor doing porn will skyrocket my career, and it wouldn't be based on anything else but everyone else's preoccupation with sex, coupled with their own fears and insecurities. Fuck 'em all.

AO: Tell us more about Tera, Tera, Tera.

ES: Tera, Tera, Tera is her first movie in two years, and by far her most anticipated since it has her first-ever girl/girl scene in it, and her first-ever ménage à trois. The movie is very different than any I have ever seen before, since, instead of old-time porn dialogue, it is a real look inside Tera as a person and a star. It is shot very MTV style: high fashion, glamour, and really hot and sexy. The only thing that may top this will be Tera's first anal scene, coming soon.

AO: You guys recently launched a Website, right?

ES: Yes. In conjunction with Club Jenna, we have just launched Tera's only true Website. Her home on the Internet is www.officialterapatrick.com. There are hundreds of new galleries of Tera: hardcore, amateur, girl/girl, and much more. Her diary and schedule are updated daily and she will be chatting live every week. There is also an online store at www.terapatrickstore.com, powered by Adam & Eve. Plus, Tera has a monthly Web radio show on KSEXradio called Contract Superstar, with rotating hosts Kaylani Lei, Carmen Luvana, and Alexis Amore. She will also be appearing bi-monthly at VideoSecrets' Flirt 4 Free. We are also ready to launch Tera's new Web show, Pornstar Pajama Party.

AO: How did TeraVision and VideoSecrets/Flirt 4 Free hook up?

ES:TeraVision and VS Media/Flirt 4 Free were introduced by a few of the straight shooters in the business. Since Tera has gone into business for herself, she has only been associating with the top adult companies whose reputations speak for themselves, like Vivid, Club Jenna, Genesis, California Exotic Novelties, and Hustler. As we all know, this is a very small business, and it only takes a short time to separate the leaders from the fakers; and hard working, honest people from the shysters. VS Media probably has the best name on the street as having great, long-standing relationships with many of the people with whom Tera already does business, so I guess you can say we were fixed up.

AO: What will the Flirt 4 Free shows offer?

ES: Tera's live shows at Flirt 4 Free will have a very broad range: from one-on-one chats to multiple-girl pajama parties, and even live sex shows. Now that Tera owns her own company, it is like she has been sexually reborn. If you thought she was hot and horny before, knowing she reaps all the benefits of her labors, and partnering up with positive companies like VideoSecrets – who promote Tera constantly – makes her more driven than ever, especially sexually. She loves being a Vivid Girl, and you never know who you may see sharing a bed and a three-hour spot on Flirt 4 Free. Maybe one of her Vivid sisters? Look out, world.
