CHATWORTH, Calif.—Today marks the midway point of the pre-nomination phase for the 2015 AVN Awards. For another two weeks—until Tuesday, September 30—members of the adult community can submit their pre-nominations in all categories.
This process is open to a wide range of individuals who work in the industry—not just company owners. Directors, performers and others who work in the industry can make their own suggestions for work they believe should be recognized at the annual AVN Awards Show, the adult industry’s equivalent of the Oscars.
To submit pre-noms, candidates must register for a user account at the AdultCentro-powered pre-nom site, which they may do by going to voting.avn.com/registration/submitter. If approved for access, they will receive a notification email and may log in to begin entering their pre-noms. The site will remain open until midnight September 30.
According to AVN Senior Editor Peter Warren, there will be no extension of the deadline. Once approved for access to the pre-nom site, users may visit it as many times as necessary until the deadline.
Warren added, "Performers often ask us who will be submitting pre-nominations on their behalf for AVN's consideration. We would encourage them to take the time today to register for the site and submit their own favorites."
The 32nd AVN Awards Show is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2015, at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. In order to be eligible for a 2015 AVN Award nomination, a movie or product must be released in accordance with the following guidelines:
• The eligibility period for the 2015 AVN Awards is October 8, 2013 to September 30, 2014. To be considered, a title must have been released within these dates, either via VOD or DVD, as outlined below.
• Titles released on DVD must fit AVN’s traditional distribution requirements of being stocked with five wholesale distributors and/or 100 retail outlets.
• Titles released on VOD must have been made available during the eligibility period for VOD download and/or streaming through at least two (2) major for-pay VOD providers, defined as ones carrying movies from at least 100 active labels/studios.
• The title must have clearly marked post dates falling within the eligibility period across all qualifying VOD platforms carrying it.
• Companies wishing to submit VOD-only titles to AVN for consideration in the 2015 AVN Awards must provide links showing that said titles meet the above requirements.
AVN asks producers and manufacturers to be judicious in their pre-noms, submitting only those titles and items they strongly believe have a chance at being nominated rather than submitting all product released during the eligibility period.
Production companies must supply AVN with all pertinent information in their pre-nom entries, including the full stage names of all the performers in the sex scenes and the names of all the behind-the-camera professionals in the technical categories such as editing, cinematography, makeup and others.
By September 30, AVN asks that producers send two (2) DVD copies of each movie or series it would like considered, as well as sample materials used in marketing campaigns if seeking consideration in those categories. Novelty companies should also provide two (2) samples of each product they would like considered. All items should be mailed or hand-delivered to this address:

Retailers are welcome to pre-nom any wholesale distributor they feel is worthy of being nominated. Similarly, manufacturers and distributors are free to pre-nom retailers in the various categories for consideration.
AVN has streamlined the categories for the 2015 AVN Awards with the aim of making it easier for studios, directors and performers to find the correct ways in which to nominate their work.
