Reel Interactive has released Reach Out and Touch Me No. 1, an interactive, 3-D production starring AVN Female Performer of the Year Lauren Phoenix.
The company is also presenting the DVD in a lenticular, 3-D package. Lenticular is a type of 3-D that does not require glasses and gives the appearance the image is floating above the surface.
Steve Volponi, who co-owns the new company Reel Interactive along with Bob Rudy, said he believed this was the “first” interactive, 3-D video in adult.
“It’s the first that I’ve ever seen or heard of,” he said. “I released this three weeks ago and did phenomenal numbers. It’s the first of the series and we have two versions, a 3-D version, where you have to wear the glasses, and a 2-D version on the same disc. You just choose in the menu what you want. … There is so much depth to this movie.”
Volponi said the second edition of the series would feature Melissa Lauren and is set for release by early October. Reigning AVN Best New Starlet Cytherea is rumored to be in a squirting-themed interactive title for No. 3.
“We’re going to break all the rules in interactive,” Volponi said. “…I think this lenticular packaging trumps anything out there.”
Volponi, who is also a veteran sales manager for Wildlife Productions, took a new sales approach for this title by selecting on a handful of distributors to sell his product.
“I said I’m not going to sell your competition. ‘Take a little bit more number- wise for me, and I’ll support you for supporting me.’ I also said ‘I won’t sell any stores direct.’ It worked out well. I actually sold more than I expected.”
Volponi and Rudy both produced and directed the title in which Phoenix fucks stunt dick Steve Taylor, who “saved the day” on short notice.
