Red Light District, Platinum X Launch iPorns.com

Red Light District and Platinum X Pictures have launched a new site called iPorns.com that will allow fans to download scenes or full movies from their companies and others to their Apple video iPods.

“It should be interesting,” said Red Light District president David Joseph. “This was an idea we had and we aggressively went after the domain name and we purchased the name. And we’ve been working aggressively on getting it up and running. We’re going to mimic iTunes.”

iPorns.com “Porn on the Pods” will offer users four options for viewing. The first is the choice to purchase a 10-minute scene for a certain price; second, users can buy a full scene which is usually 25 to 30 minutes; third, they can buy a full six scene movie which is two hours; and finally, they can purchase a full movie’s worth of scenes in 10-minute clips.

Joseph said that Red Light and Platinum X’s goal is to involve other production companies’ content on the site.

“We talked to several other companies and they’re very interested in being part of this,” he said. “I really expect people to watch porn in other places aside from the privacy of their bedroom, from planes to trains to other places.”

He added, “We’re going to add content daily and work deals to add more manufacturers to it as soon as possible.”

The companies have already begun advertising the website with a commercial on 97.1 FM in Los Angeles.
