Red Light District’s newly-created company, The Candy Shop will release its first title, Alone in the Dark, on Aug. 7.
The title is directed by Juan Cuba and features all interracial gang bangs. It begins shipping today.
RLD announced the launch of the new venture and genre last month. “[The Candy Shop] brings a whole new line and exciting dimension to RLD Distribution” said Ralph Ceglia, RLD General Manager.
Larry Schwarz, director of public relations for Red Light District, told AVN.com that The Candy Shop will be all black-on-black, and interracial, featuring directors Juan Cuba and Diana DeVoe, and will be headed up by performer/director, Michael Stefano.
The next releases in August include Double-Dipped Chocolate Honeys, Black-On-Black, directed by Diana DeVoe, releasing Aug. 14, Ba Dunk A Bounce, Black-On-Black, directed by Juan Cuba and releasing on Aug. 21 and then on Aug. 28, the company will unveil Chocolate Ass Candy, also directed by DeVoe.
Stefano said, “Juan Cuba has been a long-time porn fan, [and I] gave him his first shot in the business, shooting and working behind the scenes. He proved he would be a great pornographer.
“He's ambitious and really into what he does, already having directed movies for RLD, Platinum X, and others. He is the right choice as a director for The Candy Shop.”
“I have known and worked with Diana DeVoe for many years and having seen and been a fan of her movies,” Stefano added, “and I am very impressed to see a female director who also shoots camera and personally handles all other phases of shooting porn.
"Technically, and in directing the action, she is terrific."
