X-Play has begun production on Britney Rears 2, which will be distributed by Hustler Video.
The movie is the follow-up to this year's Britney Rears: Wild Back Stage Sex Party from X-Play and VCA Pictures.
Principal shooting began this past weekend and is expected to be completed on Saturday.
“The Britney movie is going to be great," said director Will Rider. "We’re having a lot of fun shooting and I can tell you that the cast is packed with girls who are young and sexy. Britney looks amazing and we now head off to the music and TV soundstage to shoot the Britney music video which will be a big part of the movie."
The decision to move the Rears project to Hustler Video opens it up to a worldwide audience.
“Peter Reynolds at VCA did a remarkable job because nobody really knew if this would fly or not. Of course it did and here we are today," said Jeff Mullen, president of All Media Play, the company that spearheaded the marketing campaign.
Larry Flynt, founder of Hustler, even loaned his private Hustler jet to the production.
“How else would you expect Britney to travel?” he joked.
The original Rears title benefited from a marketing campaign that lasted for over six months and included a theme song called "I Wanna Get Laid."
“Britney is all about fun, wild sex and catchy music," Rider said. “If you don’t have a sense of humor, then this movie isn’t for you because we really poke some fun at some people but it’s all in good spirit. This is the ultimate celebrity spoof but the funny thing is that Britney Rears has taken on a life of her own apart from the ‘other’ Britney."
Britney Rears 2 will feature a cast that includes Rears sharing her life of supreme celebrity with her horny girlfriends played by Jenaveve Jolie, Shy Love, Sunny Lane, Eva Angelina, Nadia Styles, and a reprise role by Nyomi Marcela.
Britney Rears 2 will be in stores in early 2006.
