Smash Pictures’ new series Real Sexxx Letters is a hardcore video based on the letters of with people sending in their fantasies to be enacted on camera. Approximately fifty letters were received in response to ads placed in a national magazine and on the Website of the director, James DiGiorgio.

“We were trying to make this something like Penthouse Forum – but as a video,” Lewis Adams, general manager of Smash, told AVN.com.
DiGiorgio and Adams went over the letters and selected the best ones for translating to video. The people who write the letters chosen for the series receive $50 and a copy of the video in either VHS or DVD formats.
“They were the ones that seemed like they would work. I wasn’t going to go climb Mount Everest to shoot two people having sex on the pinnacle,” Adams said.
The majority of the letters came from women. The first volume of Real Sexxx Letters has four letters from women and one from a man. The result is a couples video with plainly drawn motivations inspired by the letters.
“You get the sense that it is something real while you watch it. You hear the letter being read as a voiceover in the beginning of each scene,” DiGiorgio said.
One letter begins “Fuck Human Resources. I want some human contact and I want it right now!” That letter was turned into a vignette about a sexually frustrated office worker. Needless to say, she gets her wish.
“A lot of the stories have a complaint. We have the why, we provide motivation for sex,” DiGiorgio described. “ One of the norms in the letter is that they don’t usually this type of thing. This isn’t normal for these women. This is them really letting go.”
“These may serve as a cautionary tales. If you don’t want your woman to be with another man you might learn not what to do,” DiGiorgio adds.
Real Sexxx Letters stars Rachel Rotten, Crystal Ray, Katarina McKenna, Lovely Lexi and Nikki Lynn in her first hardcore appearance in over a year. John West, Hamilton Steele, Rob Rotten, Dave Pounder, and Rafe are the men in the video, which has five scenes.
Real Sexxx Letters is already available on VHS, with a DVD version to follow next month.
