BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.—One of the stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is about to get a whole lot more real—real hardcore. Danielle Staub goes for the full monty in Danielle Staub Raw, distributed by Hustler.
The 47-year-old Staub’s sex tape is 75 minutes long, and can be viewed in full at Hustler membership site DanielleStaubRaw.com. The DVD will hit stores June 14 and also will be available via video-on-demand.
“We were approached by a production company that legally obtained the footage,” Hustler publicist Julie Messing told AVN. “They bought it by perhaps a representative or an agent. They were looking for a distributor and approached Hustler and Larry Flynt.”
That company Messing refers to owning the footage is Scott Esposito's Tru Filth, which decided to enter into a partnership with Hustler to handle the DVD distribution along with the broadcast rights for Hustler TV.
Interestingly, Staub successfully received a temporary restraining order last year to prevent ex-boyfriend Stephen Zalewski from releasing a sex tape of her. RadarOnline.com has reported that it’s not Zalewski that appears with her in the sex tape Hustler’s releasing.
“Knowing her and the ratings of the Bravo show, we saw an opportunity,” Messing said. “The Real Housewives is a very mainstream show, and as a team, we agreed that she appeals to a much broader demographic. From a curiosity standpoint, she will appeal to both genders.”
Staub had a checkered past before becoming a reality show star. In 1986 she was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to participate in a drug treatment program on a variety of drug charges. A self-proclaimed party girl, Staub also has admitted that she worked as an escort.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey currently airs on Bravo.
