Live video chat site www.RX9.com is teaming for a promotional radio tie-in with the Talking Sex Network (TSR). The two companies will unite to host a weekly show to air on both sites simultaneously every Wednesday at 10 p.m. (EST). The show will be presided over live on the air by chat hostess Sydney, and will feature a different RX9.com chat hostess every week – and even someone from one of RX9's sister sites.
RX9.com garnered some media attention earlier this year when it shared audiences and feeds with Tampa radio station WXTB 98 Rock's Bubba The Love Sponge show, which was cancelled by Clear Channel due to FCC fines. Bubba returns to the airwaves with RX9 via satellite radio.
"This is definitely a warm-up for Bubba," said Arters, who is currently making arrangements to have Bubba appear on an upcoming Wednesday night show.
With all the attention they received from the Bubba tie-in, Arters expects Sydney's Wednesday shows to be big. REAL big.
"The last time we were caught with our pants down, in a manner of speaking," pointed out Greg Jones, media and communications director of 2much.net, which hosts RX9 on its LiveCamNetwork 1.9 platform. "So many users jammed the lines, the performer couldn't even get into her chat room. But we're ready for the traffic this time around." 2much.net is preparing for the traffic influx by reserving extra bandwidth.
