Pure Play Ready to Distribute Private Titles; Hires Marcelle LeBlanc

Pure Play Media today announced details of the three-year cross-distribution deal announced earlier this week between Pure Play and Private Media Group, including an adjusted release schedule and new personnel.

Private’s product is being moved to Pure Play’s warehouse and their current offices will be leased out. Pure Play will be ready to begin shipping Private catalog titles by next Monday, with new releases scheduled to be added to Pure Play’s schedule on October 25.

Pure Play CEO Richard Arnold said he is pleased that many Private employees have been hired to work at Pure Play’s Chatsworth offices.

“We’re very thankful that we’ve been able to retain most of the people who worked with Private,” said Arnold, “as they’ve been incredibly important to the success of Private in the past and have been very helpful in terms of making this transition period easier to deal with than expected.”

Private U.S.A. general manager Ric Williams and Private’s former national sales manager, Lisa Radamaker, will not be joining the team at Pure Play.

“Lisa has chosen to expand her career path and we wish her the best,” Pure Play publicist Carly Milne told AVN.com. “Ric is negotiating a deal with Private to do something else, which was already in the works prior to our deal.”

Marcelle LeBlanc reportedly has signed on to head sales of Private’s titles. LeBlanc was previously with Red Light District.

“We’re very pleased to have Marcelle on board with us,” Pure Play's national sales manager Drew Dixon said. “She has many years of experience in the industry and fits in well with the rest of our crew. I’m certain our customers will come to appreciate her professionalism and expertise as they get to know her.”

“I’m very happy to be a part of this company,” said LeBlanc. “Private has incredible product that I’m greatly looking forward to working with, and I know I’ll enjoy getting to know everyone we do business with.”

Pure Play has not yet decided what to do regarding a recent deal Private had signed with Black Widow Productions to distribute controversial hardcore videos from German Goo Girls. They may or may not agree to distribute the product.
