Pulse Pictures has announced the upcoming release on Monday of the next JacktheZipper film, Blacklight Beauty.
This will be the fourth release from the director of the AVN Award-winning Stuntgirl and Squealer, and JacktheZipper said that Blacklight Beauty is his most ambitious project to date.
“In the sex industry, or in the strip club/burlesque industry, in the old days, a ‘blacklight beauty’ was a girl who only looked good under a blacklight,” explained JTZ to AVN.com. “Meaning, you wouldn’t want to see her in the daytime…she only looked good up on stage.
“So, when I heard that expression it just kept rattling around in my head. And I loved it, so that became the jumping-off point for the idea of a movie [about] beauty versus ugliness, yin and yang, positive and negative.”
JTZ rounded up several of his own beauties for the title, including Faith Leon, Jade Starr, Taryn Thomas, Allie Sin, Charlotte Stokely, Joanna Angel, Charlie Laine, Riley Mason, Loretta Loren, Alicia Alighatti, Roxy DeVille and Brea Bennett, now a contract girl for Club Jenna. “It was mind boggling to me that Faith wasn’t a big contract star or that she wasn’t in everybody’s pictures. I hadn’t ever seen her showcased, so that had to happen…I had to focus on her.”
“The very first scene that Brea Bennett did was for Blacklight Beauty and she just showed up out of nowhere….she did her scene and then, suddenly, she was in the running to win the Club Jenna contract.”
“The most important thing here to me,” continued JacktheZipper, “was why these girls were picked…and at what moment in their career did they end up in this movie. I was really interested in finding the blacklight beauties…these are certain girls at certain moments in their story.”
JTZ went on to say, “Because Pulse was so open and willing to see where I could take it, Blacklight Beauty took on a vibe of its own. I think it's the best thing I've done so far."
Pulse owner Mark Hamilton added, “Directors with the vision and talent of JacktheZipper come along only once every few years, and we are absolutely delighted with this movie."
“Each new JacktheZipper film is an event, and this one has been almost a year in the making."
Blacklight Beauty is being released in a two-disc set with special gatefold packaging, and features a bleeding-edge soundtrack with an array of bands and artists from around the world.
Pulse has also created a special site for the title at www.blacklightbeauty.com including the trailer, a slideshow and a blow-by-blow synopsis of all 10 scenes.
