Promotions, Changes at YNOT

Jay Kopita is adding vice president of project development to his incumbent role as vice president of marketing and communications for YNOT Network, while handing off his role as editor in chief for YNOT News to Connor Young, who will continue as EIC for TheAdultWebmaster.com, which YNOT bought a month ago.

These were just two shufflings and promotions announced by YNOT December 30. Kopita's first project under his added responsibilities, the company said, will be leading the development of the forthcoming Cybernet Expo 2004 with organizer Fay Sharp, followed by marketing and promoting other YNOT and TAW projects during the year.

Young will also take over managing the articles database and the Insider section at YNOT Masters, where Danielle "Twinkley" Waid has also been promoted to vide president of sales for both YNOT Masters and TAW.

"I?ve had a great two-year run taking YNOT News to the top of weekly adult Webmaster publications," Kopita said. "Handling the challenges of journalist and editor and nurturing YNOT News to levels and readership never before achieved has been extremely satisfying. I have the sincerest confidence in Connor and am positive that he will continue to build on the legacy that has been created before him. I will now have more time to focus on media and public relations projects for our growing company as well as Webmaster support due to our ever growing Webmaster Directory."

Waid, for her part, said she was "honored" to follow in Bob "YNOTBob" Rice's footsteps and is "more than ready to accept these newest challenges." Those challenges include administering YNOT's new Service Directory and becoming the executive producer for TAW Radio, which YNOT also bought a month ago, where she'll handle all programming and sponsorship activity.

"I realized with all this great new talent integrated into the YNOT family, it was critical that everyone excel where their best abilities suit them and also feel most comfortable in those roles," said Rice, who was named the company president six months earlier.

"While the dust is still settling after the TAW acquisitions, the balance here is perfect, and we can now continue taking our companies to an even higher level in the new year," he continued. "I am excited with the extreme potential we have here, and will continue to focus my attention towards the big picture of YNOT and the future packaging of all of our products across the board."
