Private at Home, an adult DVD rental service aimed at letting viewers rent Private's titles without leaving the house, has launched in Great Britain.
Modeled on Netflix, Private at Home lets a viewer rent as many Private DVDs as they want without due dates or late feeds, starting at a flat ?19.95 per month, andi ncluding pre-paid return envelopes which the viewer can return any time, Private Media Group said in a May 27 announcement..
"Private at Home is the adult-oriented answer to the newest concept in DVD rental," said Private president and chief executive officer Charles Prast in a statement. "Now, regardless of where you are, premium hardcore titles can be enjoyed in the comfort of your home for as long as you want, whenever you want and all with 100% discretion."
Prast also said the service is "a huge step forward" in overcoming the "problems traditionally associated" with renting adult videos or DVDs, including the usually limited offer of hardcore adult DVDs in Britain, and "the embarrassment factor some consumers experience when renting or purchasing adult titles in shops."
All postage and shipping costs are included in the flat fees, Private said, and there are no longterm contracts involved, with a viewer free to cancel at any time they like.
