Private Unveils Cleopatra Website

Continuing a strategy they introduced earlier this month, Private Media Group has unwrapped an official Website dedicated solely to Cleopatra, the new Antonio Adamo-directed film starring Julia Taylor and shot entirely on location in Egypt and Naples.

The Private Gold film isn't yet on sale, but the Website offers a chance to get a sneak preview of what Private touts as "the awesome action," not to mention plenty of film information and extras only available there.

Earlier this month, Private debuted their new Web strategy with a site for The Scottish Loveknot. "It's part of an overall consumer marketing plan," PrivateUSA chief operating officer Bob Johnson told AVN.com at the time. "As more and more people are Web savvy, that's where they're going for information. We're taking our lead from the Hollywood studios. As soon as they see a promo for the movie, they go to the Website for more information. It's instantaneous."

Johnson called it a corporate strategic move following suit to the value of the Web. "It wasn't prompted by the public," he said, "but it's certainly going to be a service to them and to the press."

The Cleopatra site also features free trailer and wallpaper downloads, complete technical information on both the regular and the special editions of the coming DVD release, and is aimed at fans, press, and trade viewers alike.

Private also has in the immediate plans a singular Website for the coming debut entry in the Man Size gay film line, Marc Anthony, though the company hasn't yet announced when site or film would be released.
