Private U.S.A. Sets Release Date For Multimillion-Dollar Feature, Millionaire

Shot across three continents, from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean, Private U.S.A. will release the first part of Private's latest mega-production, Millionaire, on Sept. 27.

The project’s budget, estimated at $1.9 million, is fully in keeping with the film’s title. Millionaire's extensive prop list included a 120-foot yacht, World War II-era military vehicles and military uniforms.

Millionaire follows the quest of Claudia Ferrari and Lenny Power on the trail of a hidden cache of Nazi gold. The pair tracks down clues in locales from the tropics to the frozen hinterlands of Europe. A second volume, which concludes the story, will be released in December.

Director Alessandro del Mar selected top-notch European talent to round out the cast, including Jessica May, Delfinn Delage, Alicia, Stacy Silver, Alexa May, Lucy Lee, Simony Diamond, Sarah Blue and Elen Nevaril.

"It is really a great thrill to do something at this level," Ferrari said. "I couldn't believe it when Alessandro selected me for the role. It was a bit nerve-wracking at first to have so much responsibility, but it has been really marvelous. I loved every minute of it."

Private will release the first part of Millionaire on a two-disc set. The first disc will feature the movie, shot in widescreen and presented in 5.1 digital surround sound, as well as bonus features including cast profiles and trailers for Millionaire 2 and other Private Productions.

The second disc will include a making-of featurette, shooting diaries, extra sex scenes, still galleries, and an interview with del Mar.

Said Private U.S.A. general manager Ric Williams, "It's a beautifully shot piece of art. We've adjusted our release schedule to ensure its consideration for the 2005 AVN Awards. We think Millionaire will be a strong contender."
