Private Media Group Inc., worldwide leader in premium-quality adult entertainment products, services and Internet content, today announced that John Millerman, one of the Company's movie directors, has been nominated for a prestigious Nebula Award(TM) by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America Inc. for one of the Company's most ambitious productions to date, 'The Uranus Experiment, Part 2,' which is available on VHS video and DVD formats, as well as via the Company's flagship website, www.private.com. The awards ceremony will take place in New York City on May 20, 2000.

Nominated in the 'Script' section, 'The Uranus Experiment, Part 2' (Private Media Group Inc.) has three rivals for a Nebula Award(TM): Larry and Andy Wachowski's 'The Matrix' (Warner Bros.), M. Night Shyamalan's 'The Sixth Sense' (Hollywood Pictures), Brad Bird and Tim McCanlies' 'The Iron Giant' (Warner Bros.) and Robert J. Avrech's 'The Devil's Arithmetic' (Showtime Television).

Previous winners of Nebula Awards(TM) include Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder, William Gibson, Joe Haldeman, Anne McCaffrey and Frank Herbert. The SFWA was founded in 1965 and has over 1,200 members, many of whom are among the world's leading writers of science fiction and fantasy.

As part of 35th Anniversary of the company, Private will also be hosting a series of events in Cannes, France, on May 15 and 16 during the Cannes Film Festival. The high-point will be a 'Private Blue' party in the Martinez Hotel on the famous La Croisette beach-front where celebrities, VIPs, motion picture industry figures and media gather for a week of business and festivities. The Private event will not only mark 35 years of success for the Company but will see the unveiling of the latest collection in the Private Circle range of urban fashionwear and the official launch of 'Private Blue', a new adult television channel broadcasting via the BSkyB digital and analogue television platforms in the UK which has already more than 5 million addressable subscribers in just its first month of operation.

This compares with very favorably with the 9.1 million addressable subscribers that New Frontier Media reported for the whole of its 1999 fiscal year and also compares very favorably with Playboy TV, which added approximately 3.5 million households last year. The 'Private Blue' party will feature a musical performance from special international guest artists.

In addition to the 'Private Blue' party, the Company has secured a prime beach location in front of the Martinez Hotel for a host of daytime activities, including photo sessions with its top female performers, an open-air fashion show, interactive fun and games with selected members of the viewing public on the sea-front and special webcam links for transmission to the Company's flagship website, www. private.com.
