Private Media has recently introduced Private-to-Own, which it is calling “the largest DVD movie download and burn service in the adult industry using the DivX platform.” With an initial offering of over 450 original release titles, a Private representative said that the company is adding a new revenue stream by “entering a rapidly growing market that gives customers the ability to download DVD-quality movies to their PC, burn unlimited copies and view them on several different consumer electronic devices.to its array of services offered online.”
The DivX Download-to-Own technology is designed to protect the copyright of the Private film library against piracy with its pioneer Digital Rights Management (DRM) system. It also offers Private customers the comfort of secure digital video distribution.
According to Private, “The best part about this innovative, new downloading system is that it allows visitors to watch the movie while you are in the process of downloading so the customer looses no time.”
