Private Adds Personals To Web Offerings

Private Media Group Inc. today announced an agreement to launch a co-branded contacts site with, the largest online adult personals service with over 12 million members.

Private Personals will launch as a new service on Private’s flagship website offering members access to an adult-oriented contact section powered by AdultFriendFinder. Private Personals will contain all the features of AdultFriend Finder have come to enjoy, including personal ads sections, chat rooms, advice lines and an online magazine.

A recent study conducted by comScore and the Online Publishers Association found that the personals category grew 387 percent to become the largest online paid content category among consumers in the third quarter of 2002. The online personals industry posted $87.2 million in revenue in the third quarter 2002 - nearly a quarter of every dollar spent on consumer content online.
