Private’s Millionaire Dominates Venus Fair Nominations

Private Media Group’s mega-budget movie Millionaire dominates the nominations for the Eighth Annual International Venus Fair awards that are the highlight of the annual adult entertainment festival being held later this month.

Venus awards are unique in the way that directors, performers, and titles from the same country compete for honors, while also remaining eligible for the European category and the International category.

For instance, a French performer can be nominated in the Best New Starlet – France category for a role she performed in a movie that has been nominated in both the Best Movie – Germany category and in the Best Movie – Europe category.

That’s exactly the case for Private’s Millionaire, a mega-budget feature that is nominated for 16 awards – in various categories from Germany, France, Italy, Hungary and Europe. The feature is nominated in both Best Movie – Germany and Best Movie – Europe categories.

In fact, four out of seven male performers nominated for Best Actor – Europe are nominated for their roles in Millionaire.

The budget for the two-part feature reportedly totaled over $1.9 million, with filming taking place on locations around the world. Props and wardrobe for the movies are extensive and include World War II-era military vehicles and uniforms.

For the United States, awards are given for Best Actress, Best Movie, and Best Director.

Nectar Entertainment, in their first year of eligibility, received two nominations: their exclusive director Marty Zion was nominated for Best Director – USA, and Mystified, directed by Zion, was nominated for Best Movie – USA.

“I’m pleasantly surprised and honored that they appreciate my work and the movie we set out to make,” Zion told AVN.com.

Zion faces stiff competition in the Best Director – USA category from industry veterans Andrew Blake, Axel Braun, Robby D, Michael Stefano, and Nicholas Steele.

The Venus awards will be presented on Thursday, October 21, the opening night of the festival.
