Two female college students were less than thrilled with this gift: a radio with a hidden camera inside, from a man who will serve 39 months in prison for his little surprise.
Michael Suits pleaded guilty May 5 to unauthorized videotaping and child porn possession, just before he would have gone on trial on those charges, according to the Associated Press.
The case involved a radio Suits gave the two women when they moved into a shared apartment in the Elmhurst complex where he lived in August 2002.
The AP said the women put the radio in their bedroom and it fell in January 2003, revealing the wireless camera inside the unit. The women called police and the police got a search warrant for Suits' apartment, the station said.
