PPPCard is the newest entrant into the prepay-for-porn card realm.
Users can purchase the cards for $5 to $100 and can then log in to partner sites using the unique code on the back. The aim is to allow webmasters to cut down on chargebacks while also giving them an added revenue stream through a revshare based on the amount of each card.
“It’s like a stored value card with a unique name and password. The card authenticates on our site and we pass the info on to the partner site,” PPPCard president Greg Moss tells AVNOnline.com.
“We have exclusive contracts with all the sites. They get a revshare from each card, no chargebacks, and pay no cost per acquisition.”
Moss said the cards would be available in 2,000 convenience store locations by this weekend and up to 6,000 by mid-June. The company is shooting for 20,000 stores by year’s end. Stores can be located on PPPCard.net.
“For retailers, one of the unique aspects of this program will be targeted national and regional advertising through major media outlets on an ongoing basis in order to educate the consumer about the program’s existence and let them identify a retailer where they can purchase the product. We want this to be as transparent and accepted as the prepaid phone card,” Moss says.
