Premium E-Ticket Section Launched: NakedSword

Calling it a major deal with several top studios, NakedSword has launched a premium E-Ticket section for full-length, streaming films from Falcon, Studio 2000, Hot House, Colt, and Le Salon.

"In the past, only members have had access to NakedSword?s 2,500-video library," the company said in a June 24 announcement. "While NakedSword?s innovative general cinema membership model has received wide acclaim and will continue to offer its monthly access, the E-Ticket section is expected to draw members and non-members alike."

This launch followed several months' work integrating Digital Rights Management download technology into the NakedSword Website. Users can now buy temporary rights to a digitally downloaded file similar to what they might get with an .MP3 file, NakedSword said.

The full-length film file self-expires after 72 hours, "one of the longest rental periods in the industry," the company continued. "For users who would prefer to access the movie online, a DVD-quality video stream is also available."

NakedSword president Tim Valenti said the new, expanded version of NakedSword including the E-Ticket wing sprang from rising viewer demand. "Our customers are thrilled with the huge number of films we already offer," Valenti said, "but until now online access to new releases and premium titles was limited. I think members will really appreciate the added option, and new users will have access without having to commit."

Members will get substantial discounts on E-Ticket buys while continuing to have access to the growing NakedSword general film library, he added. "We?re proud to be launching with the great line up of studios," Valenti said. "It allows them a safe and profitable way to enter the world of streaming video, and our users get access to premium films otherwise not available online."
