CHATSWORTH, Calif.—AVN Media Network has announced the launch of the pre-nominations site for the 2010 AVN Awards Show.
The pre-nominations site is designed for producers to submit their movies, scenes, performers and production professionals for awards consideration. The 27th AVN Awards Show is scheduled for Jan. 9 at The Pearl Concert Theatre inside the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
In order to be eligible for a 2010 award nomination, a movie must be released by Sept. 30. To qualify as a release, it must be in stock with either 10 wholesale distributors or 100 retail stores. The eligibility period includes any movie released between Oct. 1, 2008 and Sept. 30, 2009.
To access the pre-nom site, producers must first establish a user account on AVN.com—if they do not already have one—by entering their email address at this link: http://www.avn.com/account/register/.
Once you submit the form a confirmation will be sent to you. You must click the link in the email confirmation to activate your account. Once you’ve created your AVN.com user account, you must request access to the pre-nomination screen by clicking this link: http://www.avn.com/prenom-request-form/. Users will be notified of their access with an email.
The pre-nom site will remain open until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9.
AVN asks producers to be judicious in their pre-noms, submitting only those productions and scenes they strongly believe have a chance at being nominated rather than submitting all titles released during the eligibility period.
Production companies must supply AVN with all pertinent information in their pre-nom entries, including the full stage names of all the performers in the sex scenes and the names of all the behind-the-camera professionals in the technical categories such as editing, videography, music and others.
By Oct. 12, AVN asks that producers send (2) DVD copies of each movie or series it would like considered, as well as sample materials used in marketing campaigns if seeking consideration in those categories.
